Online Meeting

On the afternoon of 14 August 2020, Prof. Zhou Fubao, Vice President of CUMT and Prof. Ken Evans and Prof. Zhongdong Wang, Pro-Vice Chancellors of the University of Exeter, held an online meeting to discuss cooperation between the two universities.

At the meeting, both parties agreed that the two universities have shared academic fields, strong academic strengths, and extensive interest in cooperation. The pragmatic cooperation between the two would definitely achieve positive results. The two parties also conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as research cooperation, teacher exchanges, and joint training of students in the fields of mining technology, big data, artificial intelligence, renewable energy and environmental protection, and reached broad consensus on cooperation. The two sides also decided to start the negotiation and signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) as soon as possible to implement the above-mentioned cooperation projects.

The meeting was also joined by personnel from Exeter’s College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences, regional head for Australasia and South East Asia of Exeter as well as the head of the  CUMT International Office.

The University of Exeter is a public research university in Exeter, Devon, South West England, United Kingdom.
