Ron Wakefield, associate deputy vice-chancellor of RMIT made some remarks


CUMT-RMIT Joint Management Committee Meeting for Collaborative Articulation Program in Building Environment and Energy Engineering was held on the morning of October 10 in Room A310 of Xingjian Building. CUMT vice president Bian Zhengfu and Ron Wakefield, associate deputy vice-chancellor of RMIT and dean of School of Real Estate and Architecture and Project Management attended the meeting.

Mr. Ron Wakefield said that CUMT-RMIT joint program of Building Environment and Energy Engineering has entered a new phase, in which the cooperation between RMIT and CUMT, an important partner of RMIT, will be closer. In addition, RMIT will continue to deepen its cooperative relationship with CUMT under the new strategic framework of the nine-year development plan of RMIT.

Prof. Bian Zhengfu commends the long history and solid foundation of this cooperative relationship. He expects that as we enter a new phase in implementing the CUMT-RMIT joint program, we should explore new cooperation models, propose and implement more joint programs, foster practical cooperation and exchanges in talent cultivation at the graduate level and facilitate staff exchanges and communication.

Participants reached a consensus on teaching English and other courses to students enrolled in 2023 and promotion and enrollment plans for 2024.

The meeting was attended by heads of the International Office, English Language Center, School of Real Estate and Architecture and Project Management of RMIT and heads of the International Office, Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs and School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of CUMT.
