In recent years, CUMT has given priority to foster students’ innovative ability, and strengthen industry-university collaboration, and focused on both scientific research and teaching. We encourage all schools to have a holistic view while designing curriculum, organizing internship and practicum, developing university students’ innovative entrepreneurship programs, and setting requirements for graduation projects. We have strengthened teaching reform by encouraging teachers to bring realistic problems into their teaching. Over the past three years, the proportion of graduation projects (theses) on internships, engineering practices and social surveys has increased to 72%. A total of 58 graduation projects (theses) have been awarded excellent projects (theses) in Jiangsu Province, with a steady improvement in the total number of awards and rankings. 1,489 national and provincial university students’ innovation projects have been approved, ranking the first in Jiangsu Province for three consecutive years. The number of papers published by students and patents granted to students, which are based on their innovative entrepreneurship programs, has increased from 149 to 445 by 2023. The quality and level of projects in the China International College Students Innovation Competition have shown improvement for three consecutive years.
