OBJECTIVES:

(1) To help the students have a better understanding of the current situation of energy and environment in China and the world

(2) To help students understand the principle, technology and industrial status of solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, ocean energy, biomass energy and hydrogen energy.

(3) To make students establish the concept of cities sustainable development with renewable energy.

(4) To understand the concepts of smart grid and its depending on energy storage.

GRADING POLICY:

1) The participation and quiz in class (30);

2) The group discussion and presentation  (30);

3) The reports/essays (40%);


Submission Guidelines

All students should submit their reports/essays, using the following format, to the email: chenning@cumt.edu.cn.

1) All pages should be numbered. All pages should have student name on header.

2) All technical reports should professionally include the parts of abstract, main report content, discussion, references.

Letter Grade

The scores will be given according to your report/essay. You will get:

A if 80%

B if you get 70% to 80%

C if you get 60% to 70%

D if less than 60%
