On November 3, a delegation led by Tamir, Dean of the School of Applied Sciences at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, visited CUMT. They held working talks with representatives from the International Office, Department of Teaching Administration and related schools.

During the talks, Chen Wen, Director of CUMT International Office, extended a warm welcome to Dean Tamir and his delegation. She briefly introduced the basic overview of CUMT and reviewed the history of cooperation between the two institutions since 2016. She stated that the two universities have achieved fruitful results in scientific research collaboration, talent cultivation, and joint platform building. She expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further expand the areas of cooperation, deepen practical collaboration, and jointly promote educational and technological exchanges between China and Mongolia to a new level.

Tamir expressed gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of the existing foundation of cooperation between the two sides. He looked forward to more practical cooperation in areas such as joint scientific research, faculty and student exchanges, and platform construction.

Cao Jingpei, Dean of the Carbon Neutrality Institute, provided background on the preliminary cooperation between the two institutions. He pointed out the high alignment in their research directions and noted that multiple collaborations have already been carried out in scientific research and the joint cultivation of doctoral students. He suggested that future cooperation could be further deepened in areas such as co-establishing a Belt and Road international joint laboratory and upgrading inter-university exchange programs.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the co-establishment of a "Belt and Road" international joint laboratory, the joint cultivation of students majoring in coal chemical engineering and the renewal of the inter-university agreement. They also exchanged views on specific cooperation models and professional program development.

This visit continued the long-standing tradition of friendly cooperation between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for future in-depth collaboration in cutting-edge fields such as energy resources and carbon neutrality. Both sides will continue to uphold the principle of "mutual trust, mutual benefit, and joint win-win cooperation" to collectively write a new chapter in China-Mongolia university collaboration.
