On November 10, a delegation from RMIT University of Australia visited CUMT. The International Office held talks in Meeting Room A310, Xingjian Building of Nanhu Campus, engaging in in-depth discussions regarding the operation and expansion of the Sino-foreign cooperative education programs between the two institutions. The talks were presided over by Quan Xuehong, Deputy Director of the International Office.

Director of International Office, Chen Wen first extended a warm welcome to the visiting RMIT delegation and reviewed the cooperative achievements over the past decade. She stated that since the official signing of the cooperative education agreement in 2011, the collaboration, based on the "Building Environment and Energy Engineering" major, has cultivated over a thousand students and has become a model of Sino-Australian cooperative education. She suggested further establishing and improving the operational mechanisms for the BEEE program in terms of operation, student cultivation, and management, promoting the implementation of a regular project management meeting system, refining the two-way student feedback mechanism, and jointly fostering the program's high-quality and sustainable development.

Emma Steinke, Deputy Director of International Cooperation at RMIT University, expressed agreement with the establishment of a long-term communication mechanism previously discussed by the leadership of both universities. She proposed setting up regular meeting mechanisms at both academic and administrative levels, with clear contacts from each side, to promote the sustainable development of the programs.

During the meeting, both sides conducted in-depth exchanges and reached broad consensus on topics including the 2026 enrollment for the BEEE program, exploring new areas for Sino-foreign cooperative education, deepening scientific research and faculty cooperation, and enriching student exchange models.
