Speech by President Naci Çağlar, Vice President Sinan Uyanik

On April 27, Tian Feng, Vice Chair of the University Council of CUMT, met with a delegation from Bursa Technical University, Turkey, including President Naci Çağlar, Vice President Sinan Uyanik, and Vice President Barış Tamer Tonguç.

Tian Feng extended a warm welcome to President Çağlar and his delegation. He briefly introduced CUMT’s development history, educational programs, and future plans. He noted that the two universities share a high degree of disciplinary alignment and expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to deepen their cooperation, create more exchange and development opportunities for faculty and students of both universities, and make positive contributions to educational and technological cooperation between China and Turkey.

President Çağlar expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality of CUMT. He stated that Bursa Technical University and CUMT share similar disciplinary development directions in science, technology, and applied engineering, and looked forward to seeking cooperation opportunities in areas of common interest. Vice President Uyanık introduced Bursa Technical University’s educational programs and proposed future cooperation initiatives, hoping to strengthen collaboration in scientific research, faculty exchanges, joint student training, and academic paper publication.

During the visit, President Çağlar and his delegation toured CUMT’s University History Museum and held in-depth discussions with leaders from the School of Materials and Physics on strengthening disciplinary cooperation.

Representatives from CUMT’s Graduate School, Institute of Science and Technology, International Office, and School of Materials and Physics attended the meeting.
