CUMT PCT Patent Application Ranked 14th in Global Educational Institutions in 2017

Recently, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announced the international applications submitted through the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) in 2017.There were 99 CUMT PCT patent applications being disclosed, ranking our university14th in global educational institutions and 2nd in Chinese universities.
It is reported that the top 50 educational institutions applying for PCT in 2017 come from a total of 10 countries and 9 of them from China. In 2016, Chinese universities entering the top 50 were Shenzhen University, Tsinghua University, China University of Mining and Technology, Peking University and South China University of Technology.
