Visit the history museum of CUMT

On the afternoon of April 2, Dr. Peter Kreutzberger, Chairman of the German-China Friendship Association Federation and former Consul General of Germany in Shenyang, visited CUMT. Wang Lianyun, Director of Xuzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, accompanied the delegation.

The delegation visited the German language classes at the School of Foreign Studies, where they co-hosted a Sino-German cultural exchange event themed "Bilingual Spring Waltz: A Cultural Dance of Chinese and German Festival Traditions" with faculty and students. The event featured comparative introductions to traditional festival customs and cultural connotations of both nations through interactive segments including "Word Association Game," "Cultural Knowledge Workshop," "Open Discussion," and "Creative Practice." The engaging activities fostered mutual cultural understanding between guests and participants while enhancing cross-cultural communication competencies for German majors. Following the event, the delegation toured the university history museum to gain comprehensive insights into the institution's development trajectory, educational philosophy, and academic achievements.

During their visit, the delegation also held in-depth discussions with university officials from the CUMT International Office regarding strengthened collaborations with German institutions in education and scientific research.
