Garayev Mikayil, Vice President of Kharkiv Aerospace University of Ukraine 

delivered a speech


On the morning of April 17, a delegation led by Garayev Mikayil, Vice President of Kharkiv Aerospace University of Ukraine, visited CUMT. Vice President Bian Zhengfu met the delegation at Conference Room B301 in Xingjian Building. Ms Chen Wen, Director of CUMT International Office, presided over the meeting.

Bian Zhengfu extended a warm welcome to Vice President Mikayil and his delegation, briefing them on the university’s development history and future plans. He noted that both institutions share long-standing traditions and have made outstanding contributions to industry development and talent cultivation in their respective countries. He expressed hope that the two universities could leverage their respective strengths to explore interdisciplinary integration in fields such as space mining and aviation machinery, injecting new vitality into China-Ukraine educational collaboration.

Mikayil thanked the university for the meticulous arrangements and congratulated it on its academic achievements. He emphasized Kharkiv Aerospace University’s longstanding commitment to building partnerships with Chinese universities, highlighting its rich international academic resources in sustainable development. He proposed inviting CUMT to jointly participate in major research projects to achieve breakthroughs and facilitate sustained, in-depth pragmatic cooperation.

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on collaboration matters including a draft inter-university memorandum of understanding, faculty-student exchanges, and joint scientific research. Representatives from the International Office, Human Resources Department, and School of Materials and Physics attended the meeting.

During their visit, the delegation also toured the CUMT History Museum.
