Signing of the MoU Between CUMT and CESI


On the morning of April 18, a delegation led by Caroline Patoux, Deputy Director of France’s CESI Graduate Engineering School (Paris Campus), visited CUMT. Vice President Bian Zhengfu met the delegation at Conference Room B301 in Xingjian Building. Ms Chen Wen, Director of International Office, presided over the meeting.

Bian Zhengfu welcomed Patoux and her delegation, and introduced the university’s geographical advantages, development history, and disciplinary progress. He noted that the university is actively advancing excellence in engineering education and expressed hope for practical collaboration in areas such as international joint research, Sino-French joint educational programs, and international engineering education accreditation. He emphasized that such cooperation would inject new vitality into educational development between China and France.

Ms. Patoux thanked the university for the thoughtful arrangements and congratulated it on its achievements. She highlighted that CESI, accredited by CTI (French National Commission for Engineering Degrees Certification), is France’s largest engineering institution with 25 campuses. She expressed hope that this visit would establish closer partnerships between the two universities to jointly advance international engineering education.

During the meeting, the two sides signed an inter-university memorandum of cooperation and held in-depth discussions on joint educational programs, faculty exchanges, summer school, and collaborative research projects. Representatives from the International Office, Department of Teaching Administration, Graduate School, School of Computer Science and Technology, and School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering attended the meeting.
