The opening ceremony for the "International Training Program on Advanced Occupational Safety and Health Technologies for Industrial and Mining Enterprises of Developing Countries," organized by the Department of International Cooperation of the China Ministry of Science and Technology and undertaken by the China Academy of Safety Science and Technology, was held on October 13 at the Miyun Anke Base of the China Academy of Safety Science and Technology. Twenty participants from ten countries - Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Russia, Serbia, and Togo - are attending the training. CUMT as a co-organizing unit, was invited to participate. Professor He Xinjian and Professor Zheng Lina from the School of Safety Engineering delivered expert lectures, actively contributing to the "Belt and Road" industrial technology upgrade.

During the opening ceremony, He Xinjian and Zheng Lina conducted theoretical training for the participants on the topics of "Noise and Radiation Protection" and "Precise Dust Detection and Control," respectively. At the lecture, He Xinjian systematically elaborated on the research background of noise and radiation protection, focusing on the team-developed "Intelligent Personal Protective Equipment" to analyze its technical principles, core advantages, and application potential in the field of occupational health and safety. Zheng Lina extensively shared the team's innovative applied fundamental research in the field of dust prevention and control, proposing forward-looking solutions to the industry challenge of achieving high-sensitivity, long-duration detection of dust chemical components.

It is reported that this training program will last for 15 days. Experts from the International Labour Organization, the International Social Security Association, the China Academy of Safety Science and Technology, and six co-organizing universities - China University of Mining and Technology, China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing), Nanjing Tech University, Henan Polytechnic University, North China Institute of Science and Technology, and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology - will deliver lectures. The training focuses on the challenging issues in the field of occupational safety and health faced by industrial and mining enterprises in developing countries. It introduces participants to management concepts, advanced technologies, cutting-edge equipment, and emergency response methods in China's occupational safety and health field, helping them enhance their management and technical capabilities in areas such as mine ventilation, dust and poison prevention, slope stability, industrial trade safety, fire prevention, monitoring and detection, personal protection, and emergency rescue, thereby promoting the collaborative development of occupational safety and health assurance capabilities.
