On April 13, Academician Bernhard Müller of the Chinese Academy of Engineering， Director of the CUMT Center for Urban and Rural Development and Green Transition, together with Li Xiangyu, Dean of the School of Architecture and Design, visited the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design (CAUPD) for academic exchange and cooperation talks with Wang Kai, former President of CAUPD and National Master of Engineering Survey and Design, among other representatives.

Academician Müller shared cutting-edge international academic concepts and research methodologies and provided a detailed overview of the newly established CUMT Center for Urban and Rural Renewal and Green Transition. Wang Kai extended a warm welcome to Academician Müller and his delegation and comprehensively presented the development profile, core business layout, and notable achievements made by CAUPD in recent years in key areas.

The two sides engaged in in-depth academic discussions on research topics of mutual interest, thoroughly exchanging views on research directions, technical challenges, and the implementation of outcomes, generating a number of innovative ideas. At the same time, leveraging their respective resource strengths, the two parties reached multiple consensuses on future in-depth cooperation.

After the meeting, accompanied by relevant personnel, Academician Müller and his delegation toured the Data Platform Center of CAUPD.

Representatives from CAUPD’s Strategic Research Center and Gas Center, engineers from the Academician Studio also attended the meeting.
