On November 17th, Professor Sun Qingyun and Dr. Ye Zefu of West Virginia University(WVU) visited CUMT. Vice presidents Zhou Guoqing and Qin Yong met with the guests. Representatives of CUMT’s Educational Administration Office, Graduate School, International Office, International College and Low Carbon Energy Research Institute attended the meeting.

Vice president Qin Yong welcomed the guests and briefly introduced  CUMT and its development on energy research. Prof. Sun introduced WVU’s course settings and its international cooperation. The two sides launched an in-depth discussion on the "3+1+1" cooperation.

On the meeting, Prof. Sun Qingyun and Prof. Zhu Yanming respectively introduced their research progresses of shale gas in WVU and CUMT. The two sides also made an exchange on the technical cooperation research project titled “Shale Gas Exploration and Development”.
